If you were to build a house completely, then sit and watch it for fifty years, without touching it in any way, what would happen? Over time the house would deteriorate and it would end up as a useless pile of rubble. Society today is maintaining a way of life on planet earth. This way of life is mostly destructive to the planet itself. It can be seen however that there are a select number of groups and individuals that are acting as ‘guide’ for an alternative way of living, one that is not destructive and is actually even productive and harmonious. I would like to offer another addition to this select few and I am asking for help from anyone that would like to offer support. This is not an easy calling though it is a simple one. It requires an inherent feeling within oneself that points to a desire to help our society change as-well as the desire to live a way of life that is simple, productive, invigorating and harmonious. I am a Taoist monk living in the UK and I am developing a Taoist community here. I am writing this to contact individuals, groups and businesses that would like to play a part in this venture. My contact information is written here somewhere. If you think you can help in any way I invite you to contact me. This community is being made suitable to accommodate people and provide the facilities needed for various forms of spiritual training. With this idea, the community is underway. In the long run this home will provide sanctuary to those in need. The community will be a positive influence on the direction of human evolution and will allow for a reintegration of the ‘so called individual’ in to the universal whole. This position requires hard work, dedication and determination, traits rarely found in modern culture. However when you feel this calling you know you will do whatever it takes to crystallise this dream into a reality and with the support of positively influential forces beyond scope and measure, this vocation will be personally satisfying and globally rewarding. In this environment the individual will be able to develop a lifestyle that includes applied principles of holistic spirituality which will include training in kung-fu, meditation, yoga, health and vitality, philosophy, psychology, chi-gung, tai-chi and all aspects of personal and environmental development. With facilities that provide for holistic spiritual development from monastic training down to simple retreats, the community will be simply ‘a nice place to live’ and will hold emphasis towards developing self sufficiency and sustainability on an individual level and just as importantly on a global level. The eventual aim of this community will be to become a benevolent society that provides its entire existence free of cost to all who require its service, though, until this is achieved practicality must be taken into consideration and support will be considered from any source wishing to contribute. Whether that be from individuals willing to work, spiritual enthusiasts who would like to live in such an environment or perhaps national and international corporation who would like to be a part of developing such a community for society at large. If you are reading this and feel you can contribute to this development, I invite you to contact me. Every offer to help will be considered, as everyone regardless of faith, background, gender or sexual preference can contribute in some way. In the development of such a society there will be many aspects of life to incorporate and people from all walks of life are invited to participate, if you feel the desire to do so. The uniting factor being that you wish to contribute time and effort in some way to the cause. Over time great developments will take place, which will only require the input of further time and effort, so this is in no way restricted to a limited amount of effort or group of people and it is certainly not something to rush – great patience and determination will be required. Even the smallest contribution will serve to enhance the process in some way. I am grateful to be able to bring this opportunity to you, and now leave you here to consider your position in this matter. I offer my best wishes for your journey onward. ven. I am writing regarding the possibility of arranging a location for a spiritual teacher, Premananda (www.premanandasatsang.org), to give a Satsang meeting in the UK.
The meeting would be early next year, and I'd be interested to rent a space or to find a group that would be interested.
Are there any groups out there who would like to host a Satsang teacher for one day?
And dear Admin, is there anything you could do to help me find an interested group?
Thanks and Namaste, Edward
